Now, I know!

Hello people of wonder, How are you doing today? (So, in my mind, I’m asking you with a british accent, kindly respond in a british accent tooπŸ™ˆ). Talking about accents, I like to come across people who don't fake accents, sometimes, I upgrade my accents talking with them. There are some good fakers, and yes, there are some terrible fakers who even commit grammatical blunders with their accents. Lolz! Have you met any like that? I've met a couple of some, and they can be pretty annoying... Let's delve into the gist for today; something happened at my place of work. I got to work that morning with so many things on my mind to do; quickly, I started to pick up my tasks one after the other. In the midst of that, a colleague asked me a question that I can't honestly remember now. However, I remember part of the response I gave her. I told her, “Can’t you see...?” I was on a call when I said that, afterwards, the Holy Spirit didn't allow me peace. He instructed...

Party Rice.

Wonderful People of God! How're we doing today? And how did the service go at our respective churches yesterday? Mine was beautiful and colourful as we had our family carnival. I had great fun cheering some of my team members from my corner. To the gist of today(it's a long read but very interesting),  anyone who claims to be close to me must know that I don't really fancy rice as food; in fact, at home, I'd rather go for morsels than rice. However, there's a twist to thisπŸ™ˆπŸ˜‰-- clears throat, I really like party jollof riceπŸ’ƒ . You see, there are some life events that really excites me; they are weddings and naming ceremonies. The reasons aren't far-fetched, it is an introduction of a totally new beginning and of course, the party rice that comes with these events. So, there are these beautiful blood of Jesus sisters of mine. Let's call them Ukot and Anra respectively. So it happened that someone was to have her child's naming ceremony, of cour...

Shattered Screen.

Dearest people, trust we are fine and bouncing today. Did you miss me? πŸ˜‰ I have something on mind I'd like to share quickly. I'm not sure I'm able to recount exactly how I feel about it, but I'll say it still. When I'm in a relationship with anyone, I do it with all my heart such that if any misunderstanding occurs between us, I need to practically take a walk and talk it out with God to help me with my emotions. So, is this particular with me only? If it isn't, how do you cope with yours? How do you manage your emotions when your loved ones are concerned? How do you make yourself more understandable? I have so many questions actually, but, God is over all. So, to the gist about our topic, I was staying with a big friend of mine who has her bathroom and toilet outside her room. On that beautiful Sunday morning, she woke me up at few minutes past 6 am to prepare for Sunday service. In my bid to be fast and proper with it, I took my phone along to have li...

Checked On Me.

Hello dear friends, it's been a more than three days something, right? Please, pardon me; many chips came down at almost the same time, however, I specifically thank God for the grace He's blessed me with, and the people builders He deliberately placed around me for such a time as this! So, let's  go into the gist of tonight: In the year 2017, I became friends with Tolu Josh(real name) during a youth national convention. We grew into being good friends from the casual level things. He probably would have liked that we went past the platonic stage, but I didn't take too much notice. Some months into our friendship, my phone was stolen and I had to use a makeshift phone. During the time I used the makeshift, Tolu called to check on me having not heard from me for a while. I picked the call, did like I knew it was him and appreciated him. I did that because I'd eventually know the person las las πŸ˜‚. Afterwards, I went further and saved his name on the makeshift as ...

Inside Life.

Hullo everyone, it's been some days, right? Happy new month! πŸ’ƒ πŸ’ƒ Please, pardon me; your gist partner has been involved in some profitable somethings. πŸ˜‚ Let's dive straight to the gist of today. Anyone really close to me knows that after choosing a plate of beans accompanied with soaked gari(cassava flakes), one of the best gifts you can give me is a journal and a pen. Whoosh! I will pray for the person from my heart, tell everyone about that person and scream in pure delight. It so happened that a very dear friend of mine, let's call him Dee, has a very fine orange coloured journal that I fell in love with. I have a general love for journals, but this particular one caught my eye. I did all I could for Dee to gift me that journal o, but no, he didn't buy any of it. So, I gave up and continued to use my diary for everything I needed to write. Mind you, Dee is a poet, a scribbler and a many other something person. In the course of the past week, I was gisting ...

My Suicide Story.

Hello dearest people! I'm excited to be here today to give you a peek into my daily waka. I'm sure the excitement is mutual, right?  Before we go into the gist of today, I'd like to share a great stuff that happened to me this week with y'all. I was in the church some 48 hours ago to meet up with a dear friend. On my arrival, I saw that a rescue mission was ongoing for some abandoned poor kittens. Of course, I didn't join them at first; I sat and watched while they deliberated on how to get the last kitten out of a long standing  rectangular box it had fallen into. At first, I watched them, then, I decided to participate in helping out. Do you know what I did? After the men had tried out all the tricks to bring out the kitten but couldn't, I, lepacious Esther, volunteered to go into the box to bring out the kitten. Lol. The only way to that box was through the roof. It was a bit daunting at first, buuuut, by God's special grace, πŸ˜‚ , your girl di...

Was I Just Rejected? Me??

Hello dearest people in the universe. I'm not flattering you, your being dear and special to God makes you the dearest of all πŸ˜‰. I'd like to share a feeling which I've been fighting with and winning for a while with you. In my short stay here on earth, I realised that everyone I've come across has at one time or the other struggled with that feeling in particular. I'm talking about the feeling of rejection . Rejection happens when you don't get what you think you truly deserve even after trying every possible way to upgrade your relations which covers your actions, words and thoughts. Mind you, the above discussion is mine; I didn't check the dictionary for it. Sometimes, when this feeling occurs in the course of an event with a dear one or a respected person, it leaves me withdrawn from every other activities with that person or situation which isn't the best option always. Formerly, when such happened, I'd shut off like NEPA πŸ’‘ or like i...

My Mum Was Right After all.

“You've grown lean again. You've started fasting again, abi?” “You should have gbo jo ara(her yoruba word for fat in the body of a lady).” Whenever my Mum goes on and on about my petite stature like that, it takes my dad to save me from her; and of course, yours truly will be rolling her eyes like that of a doll baby. πŸ˜‰ I never believed my Mum's theory of being too slim until three days ago. πŸ˜‚ Good day everyone, trust you are fine and bouncing? As for me, God is keeping His babe very well. So, to how I found out about mum being right, right? Do you remember the post on mouth accident? Not to worry, kindly refresh your memory of it  here. On that post, I said I have the privilege of being a gospel music minister, due to that reason, I'd have to do some vocal exercises and vocal therapies to stay musically fit. Intuitively, I picked up a voice therapy some few weeks back and was very religious with it; I mean, I did it everyday for those few weeks, πŸ˜‚....

My Muscles Contracted!

Hullo everyone! How're you all doing today? How did your weekend go? As for me, I had a sowing weekend, lol; I know you're thinking what that is, right? I'll give you the definition later. πŸ˜‰ You all remember Dez, right? Should you need a reminder about my story on Dez, or you probably haven't read about him, you can do that  here.  Guess what? Dez and I are back as friends; in fact, we talk like true old pals. It actually happened that we coincidentally relocated to the same environment, and one thing led to the other, we got talking; although boring and very diplomatic at first, we seem to be doing very well now. Turned out that I told him about my church, RCCG City of Champions, he came, liked the service; smiles, he even saw someone he likes and would love to pursue closeness with--- as usual, I pray him all the best. 😊 So, to the gist of today, sometimes last week, I got to that threshold of worry that led me to the depth of ungratefulness; this was due to...

I Went To Tarshish.

Hello people, it's sure been a long time, right? It's funny how people say they are coming in a short while and the short while runs into a normal while and eventually a long while; of course, this doesn't exclude me too: my apologies guys! In the course of my ‘short absence’, life happened to me, and I sure happened to life; I'm assuming you want to know what I meant by that, right? Hang on, you sure will. I remembered telling us at a particular time that I couldn't update us on daily basis about my wakas(activities) because of tight work schedules, right? At that period, it actually got tighter till I could hardly have time for myself. At that time, I worked sometimes 2 Saturdays, sometimes 3 in a month depending on the way things were at the office. Coupled with that, I had a new boss who had a different but interesting approach to life and things. At first, it was difficult to work with him as I felt he had the stick always ready to be used and the carrot ...
